There is a maze, a beautiful maze, that stretches farther than I can see
Everyone gets lost in it, the way out is never seen
The winding walls and vines and bushes give directions to us all
the vines part for those who are content,
those who are left behind are tripped and made to fall
But up you rise, dust yourself, and steadily move your feet
This treasure, this marvelous treasure, lays in wait
You twist and turn, adore the statues, until your travel reaches a sudden hault
There, you see surely a God, without a single flaw
They smile at you, you smile back, where you stand gives a heavenly spin
When finally the vines start to part, the God is on their way again
Your legs ache, your heart hurts, it feels missing, you see
Stand in that spot too long, and you will turn into concrete
You whipe your tears and move on, unsure of which direction is right
All you know is that every turn is sure to meet you with strife
The facts are met and known; they plague you with greif:
If this god was not more precious than gold, why was it meant for you to meet?
You've ran and ran for miles
Your feet and soul are worn
As you turn the corner you see something you've never seen before
A woman, a Goddess, she turns to grey
Her face is beautiful and carved with tears
Her hope for finding her God, her love, had obviously been lost
She turns to stone and the vines coil around her feet
They lift the statue in the air, a signal of defeat
In this maze, this most beautiful maze, that stretches farther than I can see
I see no one, anyone, that could possibly accept me

It's like my thoughts are tacked on the walls of a moving subway car and i'm trying to read them from the platform.
